From the Cerro San Luis Micro-mill:
- H1 Varietal; Process - white honey
- SL28 Kenya Varietal; Process - white honey
This is a single-origin blend, comprising coffee beans from the canton of Grecia in Costa Rica's Alajuela province, in the West Valley Region.
Las Hermanas is Spanish for The Sisters. Ticos and Ticas as what Costa Ricans refer to themselves as. I named this blend Las Hermanas Ticas, the Costa Rican sisters, and the beans come from two practically adjoining farms owned by two sisters who share the same mill, the Cerro San Luis Micro-mill.
The two varieties of beans used are H1, aptly known as "Centroamericano" from La Alquimia Farm; and SL28, also known as the Kenya varietal from where the SL28 bean first originated from, and these beans come from El Venado Farm.
Both farms are at an altitude of 1300-1600 metres above sea level.
